深い藍の中に、白波のような糸文様が静かに浮かぶ古い大島紬です。
長い年月を経た布には小さな傷みもありましたが、
その中から最も美しい部分だけを選び、一つのボウタイへと仕立てました。

結び目に生まれる柔らかな窪みと、蝶の羽のような優雅な曲線。

藍の渦は、海の流れにも見えます。
風に揺れる波頭にも見えます。
あるいは、長い歳月を旅してきた布の記憶かもしれません。
この布はすべて使い切りました。
残布もなく、再制作もできません。

物語は、この一本で終わります。

Blue Whirlpool & White Wave Pattern Butterfly Bow

An old piece of Oshima Tsumugi, woven with delicate white wave-like threads drifting through deep indigo blue.
Though time had left a few marks upon the fabric, only the most beautiful sections were carefully chosen and transformed into a butterfly bow.
Its gentle dimple and graceful wings reveal the character of the cloth with quiet elegance.
The indigo swirls may resemble the movement of the sea.

They may echo the crests of waves carried by the wind.
Or perhaps they are memories preserved within the fabric through the passing years.

The entire fabric has been used.
No material remains.

This piece cannot be recreated.
Its story ends with this one bow.
